In accordance with French law, their marriage began at the city hall in Le Perreux-sur-Marne, where the American bride and French groom stood before their immediate families and wedding party for an intimate civil ceremony at the mairie. The moment was understated and deeply meaningful—two cultures formally joined in the country the groom calls home. Following the ceremony, everyone gathered just down the road at the groom’s parents’ home for a small reception, a warm and personal welcome into the family before the larger festivities to come.
This marked another French wedding that entrusted us with full-week photography and videography coverage, allowing us to document every chapter—from the legal ceremony through the final farewell. The celebration then moved to Normandy for a full wedding weekend at Manoir des Prévanches. A festive welcome dinner set the tone, leading into a wedding day defined by tradition and joy—including the beautifully unhurried French cocktail hour that stretched long into the afternoon. The couple exchanged vows in both French and English, honoring each of their backgrounds, and received a heartfelt blessing from the bride’s father, an Episcopal priest. As evening fell, the party carried late into the night, filled with music, laughter, and dancing. On Sunday, guests gathered once more for a relaxed farewell brunch complete with a crêpe truck—a sweet and simple ending to a week that blended family, faith, and celebration across two cultures, all preserved with the continuity and artistry that only comprehensive coverage can provide.
